Struggling to Innovate?
Facing an Innovation
Gap?
Lots of
Ideas but not
enough Value?
"Only
the paranoid will survive"
said Andy Grove of Intel
some years ago. This may not be what we want
to hear but the need for innovation & change
has never been more apparent, and not just
in the business of chips or technology.
Learning to accept and
embrace the need for innovation & change is
now an essential goal for all organisations,
regardless of industry or ownership model.
But most organisations are not designed to
innovate and most individuals are
not trained, motivated or rewarded to
innovate; innovation is at best an after-thought once
the real work is done.

Without re-tooling from
within innovation and change will be at best
sporadic, always painful and require
extensive external intervention.
Innovation theory and
practice has come a long way in the last 10
years, often driven by the accelerating
capabilities of new technologies and the
products and business models they enable. We
now have knowledge and experience previously
lacking to better understand how to go about
innovating, the barriers that need to be
overcome and a growing range of tools and
best practices to make it happen.
Its time to get serious,
understand what is happening and why and
build innovation and change capabilities
into the way we do business & create value;
not now-and- again but today and
everyday.
Its time to stop hunting and
start farming innovation. Take a look at the
How To Farm Lightning:sustainable innovation micro site and the
"H2FL" blog
or give us a call for a discussion on how we
can help you to make innovation an everyday
activity. |
